Mechanical mounting onto an adapter sleeve, with a lock nut, with a hook wrench

1 Oil the contact areas on the shaft, adapter sleeve and bearing only very thinly prior to mounting.
2 Place the bearing onto the tapered surface.
3 Screw the sleeve nut onto the adapter sleeve.
4 Drive the bearing further up the tapered surface by light tightening the nut (as shown the angle "p")with a hook wrench. This light tightening procedure will make sure thatthere is not any clearance between adapter sleevebore and the shaft.
5 Further tighten the lock nut with angle "A" in the table ( page 11) is recommended.
6 Alternatively, the displacement specifie in the table may be measured using a depth micrometer,slide caliper or dial gauge.
7 Secure the adapter sleeve nut.
